Happy Friday, friends! (Can I get an "amen"?!)I don't know if you're a "worship music junkie" like me, but I'm constantly on the hunt for some good worship music. When it comes to Christian worship music, I'm a little picky. Most importantly, worship songs should be truthful to who Jesus is and what the Bible says. As long as the songs holds to that standard, I'm generally pretty good with whatever. (Beautiful harmonies are always a plus. 😉)

Here are 10 worship songs that I think you should add to your playlist and why!

1.) "Called Me Higher" by All Sons & Daughters

Click here to listen! This song is such a beautiful challenge for me whenever I hear it. Think about the words of the chorus -- "You (GOD) have called me higher, You have called me deeper and I will go where you will lead me, Lord."

This song echoes 2 Timothy 1:7, which is a challenge to live not in a spirit of fear, but in our God-given spirit of power, love and self control. TO GO DO. TO GO BE BRAVE. TO FOLLOW JESUS WITH ABANDON. Plus, this duo has crazy beautiful harmonies.

2.) "You Define Me" by Kim Walker-Smith

Click here to listen! Listen to this song if you need a reminder of who you are in Christ. Listen to this song if you need a reminder of your identity in Christ. I love the message of this song -- "Only Your words define me; You tell me who I am."

Ever since I was little, I have loved Kim Walker's BIG voice. When you listen to this song, you can't help but feel uplifted and reassured of God's love for you as His child. Rest secure in that promise!

3.) "Christ Be All Around Me" by Leeland feat. All Sons & Daughters

Click here to listen! Psalm 121:7-8 says, "The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore." I discovered this song a couple months ago and the first time I listened to it, I literally cried. It became a song that I listened to every single day. It became my daily prayer. Not only is it a prayer, it's also a song of thanksgiving for what God did on the cross -- so that we could have a relationship with Him. GO LISTEN, Y'ALL.

4.) "Isn't He [This Jesus]" by The Belonging Co. feat. Natalie Grant

Click to listen! This gorgeous song is a "pour-out-your-heart" kind of song. It's all about God's glory, his power, his preciousness... you name it. This song is all for Jesus; all the words and descriptions hold so true to God. It's on the quieter side, but when the chorus hits -- your spirit will explode! So beautiful.

5.) "How Great is Your Love" by Phil Whickham

Click here to listen! Somehow, Phil Whickham sums up the whole entire gospel message into this one song. This song is all about God's love and that's what the gospel is all about. It's all about what God's love bought — more accurately — who God's love bought. You and me. I'd highly recommend listening to any of the songs on his new album, "Living Hope". He's my favorite!

6.) "Build My Life" by Christy Nockels

Click here to listen! 1 Corinthians 3:11 says, "For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." Jesus is the surest, most firm foundation. This song will never go out of style for me. It's a beautiful anthem that holds Jesus as the only firm foundation. It's a beautiful anthem that centers our focus back on Him, our unshakable foundation. And it challenges you to use your life to spread God's love to others. Plus — Christy's voice will knock your socks off!

And those are my six worship song recommendations for ya! Add them to your Spotify playlist or whatever playlist you'd like. I hope you were introduced to a new song! I hope these words only help you praise Jesus all the more for who He is! 💗
